Allicin is an organosulfuric chemical compound that can be obtained from the garlic plant (Allium Sativum) and has a formula of C6H10OS2. Alliin, the main component of garlic’s allicin is produced by alliinase. Most often, this occurs when the garlic is cut or crushed. Allicin is antibacterial and antifungal. It is widely used in agriculture, food preservatives and medicine.
Allicinmax, from the standpoint of chemical raw materials is an unstable compound which easily decomposes under high temperatures, light, or long-term storage. Its disulfide (-SS-) bond in its molecular structures is key to its biological activities and can react with sulfhydryl groups (-SH) to inhibit microorganisms’ growth. Allicinmax, although unstable in its original state, can be converted to more stable derivatives like diallyl disulfide and diallyl trisulfide through stabilization or chemical synthesis. These derivatives are widely used in health and medicine products.

1. Antibacterial and antiinflammatory
Allicinmax is a powerful antibacterial agent with anti-inflammatory properties. It has inhibiting or killing effects against a wide range of bacteria, viruses, fungi and cocci. Allicinmax has a bactericidal effect 100 times stronger than penicillin. (1mg allicin is equivalent to 15 international units penicillin). Allicinmax is still effective against bacteria resistant to penicillin and streptomycin. Allicin is therefore able to inhibit and kill a wide range of pathogens. Escherichia, Staphylococcus and Pneumococcus are some of the pathogens that allicin can kill.
2. Antifungal effect
Allicinmax is able to inhibit and kill a wide range of fungi. Allicinmax is a powerful antifungal agent.
3. Detoxification effects
Allicinmax helps the liver detoxify and protects it from mercury, cadmium or lead poisoning.
4. Antiviral and antiprotozoal effect
Allicinmax has been shown to inhibit Coxsackieviruses and Echoviruses in vitro. Allicinmax has a strong inhibitory effect against Entamoeba Histolytica. It also has a significant inhibiting effect against Leishmania and a killing effect upon Rickettsia Tsutsugamushi.
5. Improve animal quality
Allicinmax can be added to the feed in the right amounts. It will stimulate the amino acid formation that produces the meat aroma and the C3H5S(0)-gene, which is the component of aroma. This will enhance the taste of meat, eggs or animal eggs.
6. Immunity can be improved
Allicinmax inhibits the production of nitric oxygen by macrophages. It can also increase the rate of lymphocyte transformation and the positive rate for T lymphocyte a-naphthyl alcohol, leading to the proliferation of peripheral and central lymphoid tissues and improving immunity.
