Cassia Oil, also called Chinese cinnamon oil, is a substance obtained by steam distillation of cinnamon bark, leaves and branches. Steam distillation is used to produce an oily substance from cinnamon leaves, bark and branches. The liquid is clear, yellow or yellow brown with a distinct cinnamon aroma. It can be used as a food flavoring agent, soap blending and medicine essence.
An essential oil. The liquid is yellowish or reddish brown with a sweet, spicy, pungent aroma and taste. After oxidation, it becomes dark and thick. The acid value (mgKOH), which is calculated as cinnamaldehyde, is at least 15 and the relative density (1.052-1.070/20/20) is greater than 80%. It can be dissolved in three times as much ethanol. The main components are cinnamaldehyde, methyl eugenol (more than cinnamon oil), cinnamyl acetate, phenylpropyl acetate, salicylaldehyde, benzaldehyde, 2-methoxybenzaldehyde, 2-methoxycinnamaldehyde, 2-hydroxyacetophenone, phenylethyl acetate, phenylethyl alcohol, cinnamyl alcohol, coumarin, phenol, guaiacol, 4-ethylguaiacol, cinnamic acid, 2-methoxycinnamic acid, hexyl, heptyl, octyl, nonyl, decanoic acid, benzoic acid, etc., but do not contain linalool and eugenol. Steam distillation is used to obtain this product from the Chinese cinnamon tree. This plant belongs to the Lauraceae. The main producers are my country, Indochina Peninsula (Japan), Mexico, South America and Sumatra.

Cassia Oil Extraction Method
Step 1: After selecting and removing impurities from 1500kg of cassia twigs, they are roughly crushed into 1cm~3cm to obtain 1342kg of cassia twig particles, and then a portion is first put into the extraction tank, and steam is introduced to moisten it after compaction, and then the material is continued to be added and compacted until the tank mouth overflows, and the lid of the extraction tank is covered;
Step 2: Steam is introduced from the bottom of the tank body, and the extraction temperature is maintained at 100℃~108℃. The extraction time is 2.5 hours to 3 hours to obtain cassia oil/water mixed steam;
Step 3: The cassia oil/water mixed steam is condensed by a condenser to obtain a milky white cassia oil/water condensate;
Step 4: The cassia oil and water condensate is separated by 10 oil-water separators in series to obtain cassia crude oil;
Step 5: Cassia Oil/water condensate separation Cinnamon oil aromatic water after cinnamon crude oil is concentrated by vacuum concentration equipment, the temperature is controlled at 65℃～75℃, the vacuum reading is -0.09Mpa～-0.1Mpa, and cinnamon crude oil with high cinnamaldehyde content is obtained.
Step 6: Cinnamon crude oil is heated in an insulation tank, the temperature is controlled at 70℃～80℃, and the heating time is 30min～40min. The water contained in the cinnamon crude oil is completely separated to obtain 24.15kg of cinnamon oil, with a yield of 1.80%.
